At West Side High School, we are dedicated to enhancing college readiness and increasing college enrollment for all scholars. We firmly believe that Newark parents aspire for their children to pursue higher education, and our organization exists to turn this shared vision into reality. Our goal is to ensure that the number of West Side High School seniors matriculating to two- or four-year colleges grows steadily each year, creating brighter futures for our scholars and our community.
As a business and finance-themed high school, West Side High School is committed to providing scholars with multiple career pathways—both college-bound and vocational—that lead to enhanced career development. Our Partnership supports West Side High School with the most robust work-study program in Newark. We are continuously building new strategic partnerships with corporate, non-profit, and foundation-based experiences for West Side scholars, creating necessary pathway programs across diverse professional fields, including supply chain management, which will ultimately prepare them for both college and workforce opportunities. This objective reflects our dedication to expanding program completion rates and ensuring all scholars are equipped for success in various industries.

We are dedicated to providing the essential resources and foundational infrastructure needed to ensure the school continues to thrive as a vital community hub—serving its teachers, staff, scholars, families, and the surrounding neighborhoods with pride and purpose.
To ensure West Side High School’s value and promise are broadly shared throughout the City of Newark in the years to come, the Partnership will build greater long-term awareness that ensures more families utilize the school’s resources and will create clear pathways for every scholar’s future by creating intentional collaborations with businesses, non-profits, higher education institutions, local anchor institutions, and other academic and workforce domains.
